SMP Negeri 2 Denpasar Showcases Education Innovation Gurubaru.id at DTIK Festival 2026

SMP Negeri 2 Denpasar showcased its educational innovation during DTIK Festival 2026, held as part of the celebrations for the 238th Anniversary of Denpasar City. The festival took place from February 28 to March 1, 2026 at Dharma Negara Alaya in Bali, bringing together various institutions and innovators to present creative solutions and technological developments.
In this event, SMP Negeri 2 Denpasar collaborated with BRIDA Denpasar to introduce Gurubaru.id, an educational platform designed to support learning for teachers, students, and pre-service teacher education students (PPG Prajabatan). The platform aims to expand access to learning materials while strengthening users’ knowledge of teaching practices and educational insights.
Gurubaru.id was created by M. Fajrin, a social studies teacher at SMP Negeri 2 Denpasar. The idea for the platform emerged from his personal experience during his PPG Prajabatan studies, where he found it difficult to access reliable learning resources related to the teaching profession. Motivated by this challenge, he developed the platform as an accessible learning hub for educators and aspiring teachers. Today, Gurubaru.id has been used by more than 20,000 users, demonstrating the growing demand for accessible teacher-focused learning resources.
Throughout the three-day exhibition, the booth hosted by BRIDA Denpasar attracted a steady stream of visitors curious to explore the platform. Many participants were especially interested in trying the social studies quiz available at the booth, which encouraged interactive learning and sparked lively engagement among visitors.
The booth welcomed a diverse audience, including school students, teachers, office workers, and members of the general public. Their participation highlighted the strong interest in educational innovation and digital learning tools that support both teachers and learners.
Principal of SMP Negeri 2 Denpasar, Gusti Agung Ayu Made Seniwati, S.Pd., M.Pd., expressed her appreciation for the collaboration with BRIDA Denpasar. She also emphasized the school’s commitment to actively participate in future innovation-driven programs organized by the Denpasar city government.
By presenting Gurubaru.id at DTIK Festival 2026, SMP Negeri 2 Denpasar demonstrates how grassroots educational innovation can contribute to improving access to learning resources and supporting the professional development of educators in Indonesia.
