Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition Statement on Food Safety at WHA77

At the 77th World Health Assembly in Geneva, Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) voiced its support for the WHO Global Strategy for Food Safety and reducing the risks in traditional markets. 

We have long recognised the importance of integrating food safety into our work. Outbreaks linked to unsafe food can adversely impact supply chain actors and the supply of nutritious foods. In order to achieve healthier diets for all, we must consider both food safety across the entire supply chain. Read our official statement below.
