The Asia-Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development (APFSD) is an annual, inclusive intergovernmental platform dedicated to reviewing regional progress on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
What is APFSD?
This regional forum serves to:
Inform and empower Asia-Pacific nations, particularly least developed countries (LDCs), landlocked developing countries (LLDCs), and small island developing States (SIDS).
Identify regional trends, share best practices, and discuss lessons learned to help achieve the 17 SDGs.
Connect stakeholders, including United Nations bodies, member States, international organizations, civil society, and others, whose reflections contribute to the 2025 High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) in New York.

Theme: Advancing sustainable, inclusive, science- and evidence-based solutions for the 2030 Agenda and its SDGs, ensuring no one is left behind in Asia and the Pacific.

In alignment with the 2025 HLPF, the Forum will review progress on:
Goal 3: Good health and well-being
Goal 5: Gender equality
Goal 8: Decent work and economic growth
Goal 14: Life below water
Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals
The Forum will also host sessions supporting countries presenting their Voluntary National Reviews at the 2025 HLPF.
