Partnerships & Fundraising Lead
- The Partnerships & Fundraising Lead will be a highly motivated and experienced member of our team. The incumbent will play a crucial role in shaping the future of GIF and is responsible to assist and work in tandem with the Head of Marketing, Communications & Partnerships, Head of Programs as well as the Chairperson to develop and implement strategies designed to grow the organisation’s partnerships, influence and credibility, as well as fundraising for the overall growth for our organisation.
- Your main responsibilities will include driving creative partnerships, supporting the building and nurturing of relationships with partners across various sectors, collaborating to design the overall fundraising & monetization strategy, as well as identifying possible new income streams and grants to help GIF expand its impact and sustainability.
- You will be responsible for building and managing the pipeline of current and potential partners and donors. This will include assisting to monitor leads, reaching out to prospects, supporting the crafting of tailored proposals in collaboration with key functions within GIF.
- Your ultimate goal will be to prioritize, schedule, and deliver impact by driving collaboration between all parties involved, working toward clear targets to secure funding and support.
- The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of maintaining and building strong partnerships – including but not limited to the purpose of business development and fundraising. Experience within the non-profit sector is an advantage but not a must.
What You Will Do
- Together with the Head of Marketing, Communications & Partnerships and Head of Programs:
- Support the development of strategies, and implement it through a comprehensive plan to secure funding and cultivate new partnerships
- Identify and manage a pipeline of prospective partners, sponsors, and donors, nurturing relationships with key stakeholders
- Conduct research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and high-potential funding sources within the non-profit sector
- Identify new revenue streams and partnerships to drive growth including but not limited to grants and creative fundraising, to meet defined funding goals
- Collaborate with other team members within GIF and GoTo to implement strategies
- Represent the Foundation at conferences, events, and other networking opportunities to raise awareness and build relationships
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure alignment and integration of partnership and business development efforts with other organizational goals and initiatives
What You Will Need
- Bachelor’s degree + >5 years of experience in partnership development, business development, grant pitching, impact investment, and fundraising
- Experience working with government relations is a plus
- Proven track record of successfully cultivating and managing partnerships and fundraising in sustainability and CSR
- Experience developing and executing comprehensive business development plans
- Strong analytical and research skills to identify opportunities and trends in the non-profit sector
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Entrepreneurial experience a plus
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
