The regional impact and ESSF advisor will support the regional team with Environmental &amp; Social risk and impact screenings for projects. Risk screenings are based on WWF\u2019s Environmental and Social Safeguards Framework (ESSF) as well as international standards including the IFC Performance Standards (IFC PS) and UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs). Key impact themes include climate adaptation, nature &amp; biodiversity, Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI), and Food and Nutrition Security (FNS)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Liaise with Asian WWF offices to understand relevant environmental and social (E&amp;S) risk factors in their respective jurisdictions and relate that information back to the project-level screenings.<\/li>\n<li>Identify and utilize potential overlaps with other internal or external initiatives in WWF landscapes.<\/li>\n<li>Provide ad hoc support to the regional lead and DFCD core team on related matters including communications, impact reporting, and capacity development.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct initial project risk screenings in preparation for the DFCD Investment Committee, including advising on key activities needed to comply with WWF\u2019s Environmental and Social Safeguards Framework (ESSF), the International Finance Corporation Performance Standards (IFC PS), and the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs).<\/li>\n<li>Support the core DFCD E&amp;S team based in the Netherlands to complete full E&amp;S screenings by relaying important contextual information from the region.<\/li>\n<li>Track and analyze key developments in sustainable finance to keep financial institutions informed of market trends.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that E&amp;S project milestones are met, including quality control, and provide recommendations for adaptive management where necessary to address any gaps.<\/li>\n<li>Draft the final E&amp;S risk and impact report before projects conclude the DFCD program and are handed over to investors<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all relevant documentation is completed in a timely manner and appropriately organized within the DFCD database system.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job Qualification<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A minimum of a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Environmental Studies, Business Sustainability, Human Rights, or other related fields.<\/li>\n<li>At least 5 years of professional experience in project management, combined with a background in corporate sustainability, Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG), or related fields.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrable experience supporting climate adaptation projects.<\/li>\n<li>Experience working with agriculture, forestry, or water-related projects is a strong asset.<\/li>\n<li>Experience engaging with public donors is preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Experience working with financial institutions and rural communities is considered an advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of the private and financial sectors is essential, and experience in pipeline development and climate risk assessments is a plus.<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical and strategic thinking, with the ability to see the big picture and convey complex information to general audiences.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication, organizational, and negotiation skills, with full professional proficiency in English; other Asian languages are an asset.<\/li>\n<li>Proven ability to work independently and in multicultural, international teams across time zones.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated experience engaging with the sustainability and financial sectors, and strong alignment with WWF\u2019s mission.<\/li>\n<li>Self-motivated, proactive, and willing to travel as required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Interested applicants should apply no later than June 9, 2025.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>At Yayasan World Wildlife Fund Indonesia, we are committed to creating an inclusive work environment, where diversity is valued and there is equality of opportunity.
