This pivotal role focuses on driving positive change and delivering measurable impact across two key areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Championing Global Human Rights: <\/strong>Lead efforts to oversee and enhance human rights practices within Alliance One&#8217;s direct operations worldwide. Collaborate with sustainability managers across regions and key internal stakeholders to ensure global alignment with ESG principles.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Accelerating ESG Progress in Asia: <\/strong>Partner with Alliance One business units and the Crop Science and Value Chain (CSVC) sustainability managers in Asia to advance ESG initiatives on contracted farms. Your role is to ensure risks are effectively mitigated while meeting ambitious sustainability goals.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As an Asia Regional role, you will be expected to interrogate and maintain, develop and spearhead innovative, cross-departmental programs designed to align with AOI\u2019s sustainability targets, while also supporting customer-specific requirements and programs. This role encompasses critical systems and programs, including ESG targets, ISO standards, Greenhouse Gas (GHG) management, Good Manufacturing Standards (GMS), and Health &amp; Safety (H&amp;S) initiatives.<\/p>\n<p>Your mission is to lead transformational change, entrench sustainable practices, and foster continuous improvement across the company\u2019s full sustainability portfolio. While not directly responsible for CSVC sustainability issues, you\u2019ll collaborate closely with the CSVC team to ensure synergy and alignment in sustainability efforts.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Highlights of the Role<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Lead Change:<\/strong> Drive and sustain transformational capabilities within the organization.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Collaborate Regionally and Globally:<\/strong> Work with cross-regional teams to ensure a unified approach to ESG goals.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Deliver Results: <\/strong>Develop and maintain innovative systems that align with company and customer sustainability objectives.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Make a Difference: <\/strong>Be at the forefront of embedding sustainability into every facet of our operations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Strategic ESG Management: <\/strong>Formulate and analyze ESG strategies globally, with a focus on Pyxus Social and Asia-specific targets. Align initiatives with CSR, STP, and customer-related projects to meet KPI objectives.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Coordination and Stakeholder Engagement: <\/strong>Lead cross-departmental ESG origin teams, document decisions, and track progress toward established goals. Facilitate stakeholder engagement to ensure alignment and progress on ESG objectives.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Project Oversight:<\/strong> Track and coordinate delivery of approved ESG projects, ensuring timelines, costs, and KPI achievement. Integrate ESG considerations into all business decisions and expansion plans.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Employee and Organizational Development:<\/strong> Design and implement ESG-focused employee engagement processes, including GHG initiatives. Collaborate with Country Directors and Heads of Department to optimize organizational structures and capabilities.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Policy and Standards Compliance:<\/strong> Develop, review, and update ESG policies, procedures, and SOPs.
