DESCRIPTION:A four-month virtual programe equipping 200 youths* from Asia with core skills to develop digital solutions for climate change\, while also raising awareness and knowledge about climate issues. \nProgram Outline \n\nClimate knowledge – Plenary session\, Breakout sessions\nEntrepreneurial skills – Problem-solving workshops\, Mentoring\, Pitching sessions\nTechnical Upskilling – Digital skills workshops\, Consultations\, Learning guides\nNetworking opportunities – Collaboration platforms Team formation Sharing sessions\n\nTopics Discussed \n\nAFOLU Agriculture\, Forestry\, and Other Land Use – How might we encourage ways of using land that reduce greenhouse gas emissions and increase its ability to absorb carbon?\nEcological Economics – How might we leverage economic policies and incentives to mitigate and adapt to climate change\n Transport – How might we move people and goods that minimise the use of fossil fuels and reduces greenhouse gas emissions?\nWaste – How might we generate less waste\, or manage and dispose of waste in ways that consume less energy and minimise emissions?\nNatural Resource Management –  How might we protect and restore our natural resources\, especially carbon sinks such as forests and wetlands?\n\nEligibility Requirements \n\n18 years old and above\nResiding in Asia\nWorking knowledge of English\nCommitment to the entire 4-month programme\nHave a desktop/laptop with internet connection\nAble to use communication tools such as Zoom and Discord\n\nKeen interest in: \n\nLearning digital skills and want to apply the skills to innovate for climate change\nWorking across cultures to learn and build a more sustainable planet\nClimate action and social impact such as sustainability\, UN SDG\, social entrepreneurship etc\n\nProgram information detail: https://www.sif.org.sg/-/media/Files/Climate-Hack-2024-Participant-Infopack.pdf
